The Final Word on Valve's Program: Steam
A program that automatically downloads patchs onto my system, allows me to chat to my friends (and instantly join the game they're playing), provides a hub where I can play all my Valve games from (and elimanates CD swapping), provides an excellant server manger, AND stops game piracy is an amazing program in my book.
I really don't see what everyone is whining about. They all complain about bugs and slowdowns and such, but I've never had any of these problems
Just because YOU have problems with it on your computer, doesn't mean it's a horrible program overall
Some people have complained about having to install Steam for the hl2 demo...this is what I have to say:
Having to install Steam to play the Hl2 demo does suck, but this really isn't a reason for people to complain. Buy the damn game. If you need a demo to convince you that Hl2 is worth buying, you should be playing Xbox games, not PC games.
